The Home fully complies with all physical fire safety measures, and has full emergency lighting, alarm system and signs to guide people to safe exit routes.

All staff are fully trained in fire safety during their induction into the Home, and attend a course run by an expert in fire safety on precautions, evacuation, and fire fighting using the appropriate extinguishers and equipment. Refresher courses are attended by all staff annually.

All staff are familiar with the procedures to be followed in the event of the fire alarm sounding, including when to summon the fire brigade by dialling 999. There is a weekly fire test.

If the fire alarm should sound, please remain where you are and a member of staff will escort you to a place of safety if necessary.
